How Does Oral Pathology Work?
Oral pathology works by identifying and diagnosing diseases affecting the mouth, jaws, and surrounding structures through a combination of clinical examination, diagnostic tests, and tissue analysis. Initially, we will perform a thorough evaluation of your oral health, which may include visual inspections, palpations, and medical history reviews. Suspicious lesions or abnormalities are often further investigated using diagnostic tools such as biopsies, imaging studies, and laboratory tests. Tissue samples from biopsies are examined microscopically to determine the nature of the condition, whether it is benign or malignant. Based on the findings, we can develop and recommend appropriate treatment plans to address the identified issues and improve the patient's oral health.

Sexton Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Reviews
Dr. Weiskopf is a great surgeon and a very kind person. I had a molar extraction. He did a fantastic job. He knows what he is doing. I would recommend him to anyone for his expertise. In addition, his entire office staff is excellent, kind, patient, helpful. It makes the whole experience very pleasant, takes away the stress. Thank you, Dr. Weiskopf.
Dr. Weiskopf removed my wisdom teeth and 1 additional molar yesterday. I have horrible experiences with dentists over the past 40+years! This man is amazing. His team is incredible and truly 1 of a kind. I will forever be grateful for their kindness, professionalism and painless care.
Five star service from the beginning of my relationship to the present time. Staff alone are five stars. I have never seen a friendlier or kinder staff. Dr Weiskopf is super wonderful; friendly, informative and open to any and all questions. Being a professor at the University of Tennessee dental college, is an added bonus for his patients. He can give a mini CE on whatever dental topic you are interested in seeking information. Can you tell that I am thrilled to have found such a great oral surgeon? And I am a picky person. I would recommend Dr. Weiskopf to anyone who needs an experienced oral surgeon with great bedside manner and follow up. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and it was such a pleasant experience. I was terrified but the doctor and staff gave me a great sense of ease. The office was very clean and the location was perfect. 10/10.
Very kind and professional. Easy to work with. Very positive experience.
