Dr. Stephen Barrett Sexton, a Memphis native, earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 1993. He then received his D.D.S. from the University of Tennessee, Memphis, in 1997. Following this, Dr. Sexton pursued a one-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He continued his training at the same institution, completing his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency in 2002.
Dr. Sexton has been married for 15 years to his wife, Suzanne, and they have three children.
Dr. Sexton is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Sexton belongs to a number of other professional organizations, including:
Dr. Sexton practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with a special interest in implants, bone graft reconstruction, Cone Beam CT technology, corrective jaw surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, and maxillofacial pathology and infections.
